Nintendo Game Boy Made Into a Digital Alarm Clock

I have an old broken Nintendo Game Boy laying around collecting dust.  I couldn't bring myself to throw it in the bin, so I had to use it for something, but what?

I decided to put my broken Nintendo Game Boy to good use and turn it into a digital alarm clock, and this is how I did it.

Making a Nintendo Game Boy Into a Digital Alarm Clock

First things first, lets have a moment of silence for what we're about to do here....

I started by measuring the screen size of my broken Game Boy.  We're gonna need a digital clock screen and gubins.  I used the one listed below.

The clock I used was very cheap so didn't mind taking it apart.  If you try this you do so at your own accord.

I took the Game Boy apart and remove any parts I didn't need, circuit boards and screen.
I also took the clock apart and removed the parts I do need, screen and power pack.

Next I hot glued the clock screen to the Gameboy frame.

I re-soldered the battery pack to give me more slack with the wiring.

There's really not much to it, I basically put the digital clock screen and circuit board in the empty Game Boy case and hot glued it.

Watch the YouTube video for a better understanding.
